Buying Tips
Getting Started
If you are seeking third-party financing, the most important piece in your home-buying search involves a loan pre-approval from a qualified and experienced mortgage adviser. It's important you work with someone you trust. If you are not already working with a mortgage adviser, we are happy to provide references who are extremely knowledgeable, service-oriented, and trustworthy.
Your Needs and Priorities
Upon determining your finances for moving forward, the completion of a Buyer Profile worksheet refines your search criteria in terms of specifications you're looking for in your next home.
Compare and Contrast
As you narrow down your selection of homes, we will provide helpful information to consider in terms of potential resale, e.g. location, schools, taxes, surrounding amenities, etc.
CMA
Before you make an offer, we'll review a comparative market analysis (CMA) that will provide you an estimate of market value for the home you're interested in based on recent comparable sales with similar property attributes, i.e. location, year built, square footage, etc. This will enable us to make a competitive offer.
Inspection Process
It's important you have an agent who understands the ins/outs of the inspection process; who demonstrates proficient negotiating skills; and who is persistent in advocating your position.
